Quirky yet refreshing: xkcd

... I'm taking this week to highlight blogs or other webby things that tickle my fancy, make me think, or for whatever reason really stick with me. For the most part, I'm going to steer away from the "usual," and celebrate the "unusual." (For the most part.)

Here's my first offering: xkcd—A webcomic of romance, sarcasm, math, and language. If you love a mjaority of any of these four elements, you'll find this a hoot. I'm particularly captivated that the current post on the webcomic's "blag" mentions Edward Tufte’s The Visual Display of Quantitative Information.

The webcomic on "centrifugal force" (below) featuring (a stick-figure-like) James Bond is my current favorite.

Interesting blog site. I'm a lover of language and occassional sarcasm, but I'd rather be reading history. :)

... It's a different side of the cosmos, isn't it. My son (math/physics kinda guy) loves this! He's the one who first told me about it.
